#42 - Prayer Requests

Vol. 42

Thank you for your continued support and encouragement.
Many of you have asked for specific prayer requests. I was planning to write to ask you, but I just wanted my last update to be all about celebrating Him and the reason for Easter!

Prayer Requests

·       Language studies: Please pray for my ears to be opened up to the sounds of this beautiful language. Hearing and distinguishing the different emphasis on certain words is important, and there are formal and informal ways of saying things, foreigner's ways and Khmer way, so pray that my ears may be attuned to the Khmer way! My language tutor is good but I think I may have to change tutors or place of learning, so I ask for wisdom for this next step. My formal tutoring occurs on a Saturday when I come into the city, so I am tired from the week at Rescue so please pray that I am alert for the 4 to 5 hours that I am studying Khmer!

·       Place in city: Still praying that He will provide that refuge in the city. With more and more holidays occurring here, I need to have a home base. I’ve been blessed to be at Lois and Nancy's place, but need to be more settled and not living out of a suitcase. Pray that I will have the time/help needed to find the right place with the following considerations:
  • place free from flooding, so I need top floor and rooftop.
  • the area has to be free of frequent power outages and with access to wireless!

·       Next steps: Praying for after November when my time at Rescue ends. I know it is in Cambodia but praying for specific open door to His ministry

·       Community: Still trying to find my own community here with friends who are my peers to hang out with. I am at Rescue during the week so it is difficult to keep links from the church community. The only real time is Saturday and that is taken up with studies, and Sunday after church.

Thank you. May He continue to be your guide and support!

Dancing with Him,

Love, Sister Vidya
