Vol. 19
WE
ARE HOME!!!
I
say we because you, my community, all
were with me when I went to Cambodia!
Wow!
It has been a whirlwind of events since coming back home to Toronto!
Jetlag;
reuniting with you, my senders and family; battling trying to get home on
Monday after the heavy rains (6 hours!); doing an intensive but needed Mission
Prep course for the last 11 days in downtown Toronto; speaking engagements at 3
places; and so much more!
Thank
you to all of you who prayed and supported me in so many ways!
The
first thing I did was to put my head in a fridge. Yes, you heard me right, and
you ask why? Because I could, and because I missed knowing what a fridge was
like! I kept switching the light on and off and it was such luxury to be under
flowing hot water in the shower! Ah! The things you miss! I virtually ran to
the Shoppers Drug Mart up the street and the attendant there greeted me as a
long lost friend!
Just
wanted to give you an update. I am returning to Cambodia, to Place of Rescue
for one more year, and yes, as an English as a Second Language teacher (not a
student!!).
The
date? First week of September.
Yes, I
know it is coming up soon again.
I
pray that you would want to continue this journey with me as I heed His call
for this land. I am honoured to be teaching the next generation of leaders by
giving them the tool of English to further their careers and jobs in Cambodia.
Prayer request: I am writing this waiting
on a flight to Trinidad and Tobago, a gift given to me so I can visit my
parents. Please pray that I would be
able to help them at home; to connect at a deeper level with my extended family
there; and finally that He would anoint my lips as I talk about His mission in
Cambodia.
Humble
and grateful to you my family here,
Still Dancing with my Jesus,
Love, Sister Vidya
