#66 - Grateful for Community

Vol. 66

Thank you for your prayers on behalf of my family for a community for my parents!

Answer to prayer: Last night my prayers went to a prayer meeting across from their building (Shepherd/Birchmount), and this morning they are at another gathering also close by the apartment! This evening close Trini friends will come to take them out for dinner and 'to lime' (Trini slang for hanging out)! Slowly they are getting to know their neighbourhood, and the people are friendly!

Prayer request: this really is my parents’ request that they will grow deeper in their spiritual walk and serve others where God has placed them! Dad is 88 and Mom is 77! For physical strength as we go to doctors’ appointments!

For me: as the process for going back to Cambodia gets into place, that I would be patient to wait on His timing for each step.

Thanks: With grateful heart to you all for your continued prayers and encouragement, a special thank you. It is Mother's Day and I am grateful to be here on site with my own mother. It has been many years since we have actually been in the same place, so I am grateful to God for a Mom who intercedes and prays for others! I am grateful to you, my spiritual moms, for your prayers and guidance and support! You are too many to be named, but how grateful I am to have you all in my life!

(P.S. As I am writing this, I am getting Skyped from former students in Cambodia, calling to tell me Happy Mother's Day! lol!)

#65 - Smooth Move and Looking Ahead

Vol. 65

Just a quick update to thank you for answers to prayers!

  •      The move went well. It was supposed to rain and you prayed for good weather, and it was not only good, but GREAT! No rain!
  •       The logistics with coordinating elevator time and delivery time was perfect; in fact, we finished before our allotted time to use the elevator. There were two other parties moving in that day.
  •      Mom and Dad are getting accustomed to their surroundings and feeling 'at home'.

My process: I am awaiting affirmation on an administrative agency through which donations can be made for Cambodia.

I want to thank you for your prayers as He leads me back to Cambodia. I will write a more detailed report as soon as I can!
Meanwhile, He continues to deepen my community, not only here, but also back in my heart country.
My former students have been Skyping and it is exciting to see their new journey working in the city!

Please allow me to pray for and with you, so send in your requests as well.
You mean so much to me, my dear community!
